Our Mission
At 10&2 Driving School we offer the highest quality drivers education program to our students, and help to create the safest and most responsible drivers on the road. We focus on knowing and applying the rules of the road, as well as practicing the skills necessary to be safe and responsible drivers.
Evan Bercot
Evan Bercot is the owner of 10&2 Driving School as well as an instructor. He is a special education teacher and coach at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. Additionally, he teaches the classroom portion as well as the behind-the-wheel component of drivers education at H-F throughout the school year and in the summer. Evan has held his drivers education certification for over eighteeen years, and has trained hundreds of students during that time. Evan creates a learning environment where students can feel calm, relaxed, and confident, and he enjoys helping his students learn to drive safely and responsibly.

Paul Jellema
Paul Jellema is a teacher at Providence Christian Academy and enjoys helping students learn new skills, overcome challenges, and grow in confidence. Before entering education, he worked in retail management, where he trained and supervised high school and college-aged employees. These experiences gave him a deep appreciation for the unique opportunities and challenges that come with the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Paul joined the 10&2 team in 2026 and believes learning to drive is about more than passing a test; it's about developing responsibility, good judgment, and confidence behind the wheel. Known for his patient and encouraging approach, he works to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their skills at their own pace.

Leticia Cruz
Leticia Cruz is a teacher at Illiana Christian High School. She began her teaching career in a Spanish Immersion second grade classroom where she taught for over seven years before transitioning to teaching freshman and sophomores in a dual-language program for the last three years.
In addition to teaching, Leticia has served as an assistant coach for both track and soccer further strengthening her passion for mentoring and encouraging young people both inside and outside the classroom.
One of Leticia's greatest joys is builing meaningful relationships with her students and helping them develop new skills with confidence. She believes in patience, encouragement, and clear communication create an environment where students can succeeed and feel comfortable learning.
Leticia is also fluent in Spanish, allowing her to communicate effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking families. She is excited to join 10&2 Driving School because it gives her the opportunity to continue doing what she love—teaching and investing in students lives—in a new setting. She looks forward to helping each student become a safe, confident, and responsible driver.
